In the central Italy, on the border of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio regions there is SPAO Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus, an ancient hamlet (ITA. Borgo) restored to become the most exclusive wedding venue. After more than twenty years of restoration works, nowadays it is the perfect venue for a wedding in a borgo that shines like a precious stone.

By virtue of the village advantageous geographical position, it is easy to visit Florence and Rome just driving about an hour. Otherwise, it takes just some minutes to get to Allerona, San Casciano dei Bagni, Fabro, Città della Pieve and many other ancient villages and towns like Orvieto, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cetona, Cortona, Cività di Bagnoreggio, Perugia, Spello, Assissi, Spoleto, Val D’Orcia etc.

During the recontraction process, not a single detail was left out and each area was rebuilt using ancient technique and handmade authentic materials. Nowadays, all its ancient buildings changed their intended purpose to guarantee the best comfort to our newly-weds and their guests.

There are 25 comfortable suites able to welcome about 100 guests and designed to make their stay relaxed, immersed in nature and Italian culture. Therefore, our couples have a possibility to accommodate their guests and share with them all the most important moments and transform their destination wedding in Italy into a couple wedding weekend fool pf emotions and experience.

Each SPAO area is conceived for relax and event success: big main square for the wedding reception, panoramic terrace for wedding cake cut, breath-taking garden for ceremony (either legal or symbolic), wine-bar and party area, restaurant being in an amazing medieval hall etc, the perfect scenario for a wedding breakfast.

Our chefs and kitchen staff work to choose and cook the best ingredients from Umbria, Tuscany, and Lazio to enhance all the traditional Italian food culture, as well as concept and story behind each dish. There is another important figure in our staff: the maître, whose work consists in looking for the best wine and food pairing, selecting wineries and wine producers in the surroundings.

It is also possible to plan some extra activities at SPAO, including yoga and meditation, traditional Italian food cooking classes or bike and walking tours both for the couple and their guests. A wedding here means peace, relax a real Italian atmosphere that become tomorrow’s memories.
